Transform vertical spaces with Claire Austin

Claire Austin is an English climbing rose, a perfect hardy plant for transforming any outdoor vertical space. This vigorous, upright rose, famed for health, strength and fragrance, bears pleasingly cupped, pale lemon buds that gradually open to large, creamy white flowers, the outer petals perfectly arranged in concentric circles. The Claire Austin climber has a strong myrrh fragrance with dashes of meadowsweet, vanilla and heliotrope, a wonderfully fragrant addition to any space where passing footfall is high.

For a fragrant entranceway why not plant an English climbing rose right next to your front door? Training and pruning the stems to produce blooms from top to toe will add decadence to the door frame and delight the senses. Clothe a wall or fence with a climbing rose to bring cascading blooms to otherwise flat or unsightly spaces. The Claire Austin climbing rose can be used to cover walls and fences up to three meters tall. Training a climbing rose to intertwine around an archway adds a showstopping focal point. Creating a rose canopy in this way allows roses to waterfall from a height as you pass by beneath them. For something a little more formal, why not try training the Claire Austin English rose around an obelisk or pillar for a coil of blooms all summer long.
